Learning, Growing, Thriving

At The Match, we’re committed to helping our students meet their full potential in all areas of life. A wide range of extracurricular programs introduce students to new experiences and enable them to discover, explore, and develop talents and gifts outside of the classroom. By nurturing the whole individual, we enable students to develop practical communication skills, express creativity, and build teamwork skills, preparing them for a happier and more satisfying life after high school.

Extracurriculars
Chorus allows students to exercise their talents and express themselves through song. Learning and performing in unison helps build community, foster friendships, and boosts students' confidence and self-esteem.
Athletics
Student involvement in extracurricular activities is a key part of the school experience. Students can participate in student government, where they develop leadership and advocacy skills, and Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) that align with their career pathways, such as Business Professionals of America. The school also encourages students to take initiative and innovate by creating their own clubs based on their passions and interests, fostering a culture of creativity, ownership, and community. Whether joining an existing group or starting something new, students are empowered to make their voices heard and shape their school experience.
Experiences
Students engage in a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom that connect learning to the real world. Through field trips, career exploration, and job shadowing, students gain valuable insight into various industries and professions. Opportunities for community service, internships, and paid apprenticeships allow students to build practical skills, contribute to their community, and explore career paths aligned with their interests. These experiences prepare students for life after high school by fostering responsibility, confidence, and a clear sense of direction.
Give students more than just a diploma.
The Match High School program gives all students the opportunity to earn:
- High School Diplomas
- Career Certifications
- College Credits toward an Associates Degree
- Apprenticeship opportunities starting at $20/hour (typically for upperclassmen)
