Spark new interests

At Matchbook Learning K–8, students are immersed in a vibrant world of enrichment that inspires creativity, confidence, and connection—from competitive sports and student council to after-school programs like Girls Inc., hip-hop songwriting, band, art, and music—empowering every child to discover their voice, lead with purpose, and thrive beyond the classroom.

Get the most out of every day

Get the Most Out of Every Day with extended care, student clubs, and family support—including before- and after-school programs, transportation for nearby families, youth groups like Girls Inc. and Scouts, and evening adult English language classes—creating a school that supports every learner and every household, every step of the way.

Our Tailored Approach

A learning approach as unique as each student.

At Matchbook Learning, we use a learning approach as unique as each student—grounded in Savvas curriculum with project-based learning and embedded Tier 1, 2, and 3 instruction, supported by IXL for targeted Tier 3 remediation, and enriched with advanced projects for high-ability learners. By cross-referencing NWEA, CogAT, IXL diagnostics, and Savvas Realize assessments, we gain a 360° view of student learning and regroup students every three weeks using our four-step personalized learning cycle: Assess, Apply, Conference, and Learn & Practice.

Assess

Teachers gather a full picture of each student’s strengths and needs by analyzing multiple data points—including NWEA, CogAT, IXL diagnostics, and Savvas assessments—to inform targeted instruction and set a strong foundation for personalized learning.

Apply

Students demonstrate both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding by tackling standards-based tasks and problems that require critical thinking—using core curriculum resources and AI-powered tools to deepen learning and apply knowledge in meaningful, real-world ways.

Conference

Teachers meet one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide targeted feedback, set goals, and reflect on progress—building strong relationships and empowering students to take ownership of their learning through personalized guidance and academic coaching.

Learn & Practice

Students engage in tailored instruction and meaningful practice—whether through whole-group, small-group, or independent work—reinforcing skills, exploring new concepts, and building mastery at their own pace with support from both teachers and adaptive learning tools.
