We agree with the research that states the biggest impact on a student’s academic performance is neither content, technology, standards or environment, but the quality of their teacher. Our model intensively engages teachers as the primary recipient of our hands-on coaching to design pathways for personalized instruction. Other models emphasize personalized learning for students, bypassing teachers altogether. Our model views personalized learning as the natural product of personalized instruction, leading to a richer, fuller and more engaging and effective experience for both the teacher and the student. Full-time on-site coaching is how we ensure teachers embrace the DNA of the hybrid school.
