Matchbook was designed to create a sustainable, scalable solution to our public education system’s failure.  There are enough proven education models out there that do not scale to all zip codes or do not sustain beyond the increased funding and/or human capital talent infusion that outside influences have brought to that particular solution.  Matchbook is a capacity building organization that seeks not to run schools in perpetuity as charter schools do, or replace 100% of the locally employed staff as independent schools typically do, but we will turn back the school to the school district with an ability to run our hybrid design model with their people and their funding levels at the conclusion of our turnaround contract.  This is how we seek to both sustain and scale our efforts.
